ABOUT ME

About me

Divers tend to have one thing in common, they love a good adventure. My name is Taryn, but friends call me Taz. I got the nickname around the same time I became a scuba diver during a backpacking trip through South East Asia, over 9 years ago. I spent the last 5 years diving either as a technical or professional diver in various countries including Honduras, Micronesia, Canada, the USA, and Mexico. Since then, my diving journey brought me to become a Scuba Instructor, technical deep diver, side-mount diver, cave diver, and licensed cavern guide in Tulum Mexico.

I came to Mexico after living in Canada to start Taz Diving as my own independent dive operation where I offer: PADI courses (Discover Scuba Diving, PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced diver), Cenote diving, and Day trips to Isla Cozumel. The main focus in my job is to ensure that my divers feel comfortable, and safe, and really enjoy the day diving. I really value quality service and attention to detail. Having patience is something that goes a long way. You will feel confident that during our dives, nothing will be rushed and the day will be taken at an easy yet efficient pace, and most importantly, have fun!
